Youth leaders announced for 2025-26
Elected by peers, these students lead Charlotte-Mecklenburg Youth Council
Congratulations to 11 high school students, elected by peers to lead Charlotte-Mecklenburg Youth Council (CMYC). CMYC is the official youth advisory council for City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County local governments and the CMS Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council. CMYC is an innovative partnership between GenerationNation, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, City of Charlotte, and Mecklenburg County. Through the youth council, students from every high school and part of the community collaborate to advise school, government, and community leaders on ideas, issues, and opportunities impacting schools, children, youth, the future, and more. All area youth are invited to get involved!
